The Saddleridge fire forced the closure Friday of post offices in Porter Ranch and Newhall.
According to the U.S. Postal Service, the affected branches were the Porter Ranch Retail office at 19300 Rinaldi St. and the Newhall Carrier Annex at 24201 The Old Road.
Porter Ranch Retail P.O. box and 91326 ZIP code customers who did not receive delivery can pick up their mail at the Northridge Main Post Office located at 9534 Reseda Blvd.
Chatsworth customers who did not receive delivery can pick up their mail at the Chatsworth Main Post Office located at 21606 Devonshire St.
A pick-up location for Newhall customers in the 91321 ZIP code has not yet been determined due to the volatile nature of the wildfire, according to the USPS.
A postal service statement says: “We apologize for this inconvenience. The United States Post Office prides itself on a high standard of service as well as the safety and well-being of our customers and employees. We hope to restore regular mail delivery as quickly as possible to customers in affected areas.”
