Firefighters extinguished a non-injury fire Sunday inside a unit of an apartment building in Baldwin Hills, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The blaze inside the two-story building at 4040 S. Nicolet Ave. was reported just before 6 p.m., fire department spokesman Brian Humphrey said.
The department sent 20 firefighters to the scene and knocked down the flames in about 12 minutes, Humphrey said.
One person was evaluated by paramedics but turned out to be uninjured, Humphrey said.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
