Authorities Thursday identified a motorist who died when his vehicle plunged about 250 feet down an embankment in Claremont.
The crash was reported about 4:45 p.m. Wednesday near Mount Baldy Road and North Padua Avenue, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Michael Pittman.
Hossein Sorouri, 32, of the San Bernardino County community of Upland, died at the scene, according to the coroner’s office. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle, Pittman said.
