Hoping to generate public tips, authorities Thursday circulated video footage of a man wanted for robbing a Wells Fargo bank branch in downtown Los Angeles late last year.
The robbery occurred Dec. 18 about 1:20 p.m. in the 700 block of West Olympic Boulevard, near Flower Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The suspect gave the bank teller a demand note, the teller complied, and the bandit left with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
The suspect is believed to be 23 to 26 years old, about 6 feet tall and 180 to 200 pounds. He was wearing a long0sleeve shirt, sweatpants and a blue surgical mask, according to police.
Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity is asked to contact the LAPD Detectives F. Arroyo or C. Mrakich at 213-486-6840. Those wishing to report anonymously can call 800-222-TIPS.
