A woman passenger on an ATV was killed in a collision with a pickup truck in Menifee, authorities said Friday.
The fatality occurred about 9:40 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Cassandra and Mountain View drives, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Investigators said the off-road vehicle, driven by a Menifee resident whose name was withheld, slammed into a Ford F-350, causing the victim to be ejected.
The woman, who was not immediatelyidentified, was not wearing a helmet and suffered major head trauma, according to the sheriff’s department. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The pickup driver was not hurt, and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s Perris station at 951-210-1075.
